Anyone Can Bake

Baking is so much more than people make it out to be. It isn't about just eating delicious things, it is a bonding experience with loved ones or new people in your life, or even just to do on your own. It is a relaxing and fun thing to do if you had a long day, and it keeps your mind off of life. You get lost in the baking and in return make something wonderful. Granted, some people are not the best at baking. That does not mean you should just give up on it. Maybe starting out with something a little simpler or something that has very good steps to explain what to do. Literally anyone can bake, just have to have the courage to try. It is probably one of the best feelings in the world when you make something amazing and you get complimented on your baking choice and how good it tastes. With that being said, make some time for yourself this weekend, go to the store and get ingredients to a dessert you would like to try and bake away. Try something new, have fun :)

I instantly became interested in CakeJournal the second I discovered the blog. Not only is the blog filled with holiday treat ideas, but there are also tutorials, recipes, cakes, cupcakes, resources, etc. This blog has it all! I hope to improve my blog to someday have many things people could use to their convenience. My personal favorite thing I want to try from the blog is the Santa Cupcake Topper and the Holiday Gift Box Cookies. They are adorable and very simple to make. I like blogs like these because it educates people on how easy baking can be, because most people are scared to try because of the thought of it being hard and not turning out good. On each recipe it gives, there are step by step instructions, even pictures to help you out too. Not only that, but there are also a whole bunch of tutorials, almost anything you could possibly think of that would help you make anything you wanted to create. To make it even easier for bakers, the blog includes shopping lists and ingredients, grocery deals, and even meal planners to help you out. I am excited that there are such helpful blogs out there to get people to enjoy baking as much as I do, and to give it a shot in their lives. Because again, baking is so much more than what people think it is. It is blogs like ours that let people know that, or even give already bakers new ideas. I know that when I see different baking blogs, I always learn something new and think of different ways that I can improve my blog so that when someone stumbles across it, they can take something from it and try something new and out of their comfort zone. I greatly recommend this blog to anyone, whether you are an experienced baker, or someone who wants to try out baking and find a new passion :)

My Passion For Baking

I distinctly remember when I was younger baking with my grandma. She taught me the simple skill of making cupcakes, and frosting them together. Ever since then, I have had a huge passion for baking. In my eyes, it is not just for baking something yummy to eat. It is much more than that, it makes a bond with loved ones and makes good memories. I know I will always hold onto the memories I had with my grandma baking things, and I know when I have children or grandchildren, I am going to teach them how to bake also. I think it is an important childhood memory to experience. Today, me and my mother make things together. Whether it be brownies, gooey pumpkin bars, lemon bars, or cake. These memories, I am also going to hold onto. Everyone loves a good treat, and making them together, or for someone else, makes it that much better. I also love baking because it is your very own creation, something to be proud of if it turns out right. Decorating the finished product is one of my favorite parts too. Once the dessert is done, you get to decorate it how you want, or add whatever you want, to leave your own mark. Baking is so much more than what people think it is. They just need to experience it to find out, and to find their passion for it.
